That was yesterday. Nice place -- I"d like to work for that winery one day. If not in a grape-related capacity, then at least as something related to copy editing/translation. The director of Belvedere SA asked me why I hadn"t gotten a job in the wine industry when I moved to Bulgaria. I told him that it so happened that I had gotten hired as a journalist. Et voila. So instead of working for him, I"m taking photos of him.
And walking through the vineyard with my shoes off, mud between the toes. That was one of the nicest things about the event. Four hours in a bus to get there (we were near Svilengrad, half a kilometre from the Greek border), four hours back. Exhausting.
I did get to meet Purvanov, though. Told him he had a nice sport coat.
